Sinopec to extend fuel pipeline to Sichuan Province
China Petrochemical Corp., China's second-largest oil producer, plans to invest $146.41 million to extend its southwestern fuel pipeline to Sichuan Province, local media reported on May 19.
According to West China City Daily, the extension will originate in Guizhou Province and end in Chengdu, Sichuan's provincial capital. The project is still in the initial stages of research, and the company hopes to complete it in two years. Sinopec plans to build a fuel depot with a storage capacity of 200,000 tons as well as some smaller depots in Sichuan Province.
