New Gas Bid In Algeria
    A $2 billion Algerian gas project which should produce 10 billion cubic meters of gas per year will be reopened to selected international bidders in the fourth quarter 2003.
    The whole bidding should have been completed by summer but the process was hit by several delays.
    Interested bidders are Repsol YPF, Royal Dutch/Shell, Japan’s Itochu with Teikoku, Statoil, Total, BHP Billiton with Woodside, Gaz de France with ConocoPhillips, Wintershall with Petronas, Anadarko with ENI and Maersk, Amerada Hess, Marathon with Petrofac, and Occidental.
