Oil ends lower; natural gas down 2.5% on supply

Crude-oil futures ended lower Thursday after the day's macroeconomic reports disappointed. Crude for June delivery CLM11 +0.59% delivery retreated $1.66, or 1.7%, to $98.44 a barrel. Natural-gas futures led losses among energy commodities, hurt by a higher-than-expected increase in supplies, according to a government report. Natural gas for June delivery NGM11 +0.27% declined 10 cents, or 2.5%, to $4.09 per million British thermal units.
