Source: Datamonitor)US Natural Gas Corp, an oil and gas exploration and production company, has placed the Lasley No-3 well, located in Adair County, Kentucky, back into production.
Through the company's wholly owned subsidiary, US Natural Gas Corp KY, the Lasley No-3 well was re-entered on April 27, 2011. After removal of the rods, the down-hole pump was removed and rebuilt by replacing the cups, balls, and seats. After the newly rebuilt pump was run down the hole, the well showed fluid recovery.

The Lasley No-3 well was drilled and completed in July, 1983 to a TD of 1571 inches with production occurring from the Knox formation in the interval from 1521-1534 inches. The well was plugged and reopened in December, 2008 by KYTX Oil & Gas, LLC. The company acquired this well from KYTX in November, 2009.

The company's work-over rig has now relocated to the Detweiler leasehold in Hart County, Kentucky where it will rig up and re-enter the Detweiler No-1 well to pull the rods, tubing, and replace the below ground components. In addition, the rig will be used to bail fluid from three to four open well bores to determine fluid production. If oil is found, rods and tubing will be run in the well bores to place these wells into production.

"By simply completing the rework on the Lasley No-3, we have added 1bod to our current production," stated Wayne Anderson, president of US Natural Gas Corp. "Our current goal is to recomplete the re-entry and completion procedure on our currently operated wells during the remainder of this year to meet our production goals. With the wells we have under operation, including the open well bores, we are confident that we will be able to meet our goal of 500 plus barrels of production per month."
